Collapsible Rigid Box FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How is a collapsible rigid box locked into shape?
Confirm the corner and fixing method on the actual drawing and request an erection demonstration. Some designs use adhesive fixing or other joining details, so approve your selected construction explicitly. Trial assembly with packers before assuming how the flat box becomes stable.
Technical references
Can the box be flattened again after assembly?
That depends on the corner fixing and hinge design. State whether repeat flattening is a requirement, then trial the intended sequence on a sample. Do not assume an adhesive-fixed version can be repeatedly dismantled simply because it was delivered flat.
Technical references
What happens to the insert when the box ships flat?
Plan the insert's own storage and assembly separately, including whether it is supplied flat or formed. Trial the complete packing process and check the erected insert against the box corners. A collapsible shell does not automatically make a bulky insert compact.
Technical references
What should we inspect after erecting the box?
Check corner squareness, fixing engagement and the lid's ability to seat over the final product height. Include any tissue, cards and insert in the sample. Evaluate the finished shipping configuration after erection, since the flat format says nothing about delivery protection by itself.
