Full Telescope (Lid & Base) FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How is full lid coverage specified on a rigid telescope box?
Show the lid depth and intended overlap on the drawing, alongside the base's usable interior. Approve a matched sample with the actual wrap and liner. The full-telescope name should not replace agreement on which base surfaces remain visible when closed.
Technical references
How do we choose a comfortable lift-off lid fit?
Trial the finished lid and base together, checking removal effort, finger grip and whether lifting the lid also lifts the base. Use the selected wrap and lining, since the final surfaces affect fit. Agree on the preferred opening feel with a physical reference.
Technical references
Can an insert make the deep lid difficult to remove?
An overfilled insert or raised accessory can contact the lid before it seats on the base. Build the complete product arrangement into the sample and inspect headspace. Confirm both product clearance and lid fit before changing component dimensions to solve a closing problem.

Does a rigid full-telescope box need an outer shipper?
Assess the decorated box as part of the intended delivery configuration. The lid must remain retained and the wrap protected against rubbing and impacts. Trial the proposed overpack or other protection with the product installed, rather than treating presentation-board stiffness as a shipping qualification.
