Seal End Box FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
What equipment information is needed for a seal-end box?
Provide the filling direction, end-closing method and relevant cartoner or adhesive-system requirements. The end flaps must work with that sequence. Trial the proposed blank on the intended process before approving artwork or treating the box as ready for production filling.

Can a seal-end carton be opened and reclosed neatly?
A bonded end is generally intended to be opened by breaking that closure, so specify whether repeat access is required. Trial the intended opening feature on a filled sample. A tuck or separate reclosure detail may need consideration if the product is used repeatedly.
Technical references
Why do glue areas need to be identified before finishing?
Adhesive contact must be evaluated with the actual board surface and any print or coating in the bond area. Mark those areas on the artwork plan and trial the completed seal. Decorative coverage should not be approved without reviewing its effect on bonding.
Technical references
Does a glued seal make the carton a moisture barrier?
A bonded paperboard end should not be assumed to provide liquid or vapor containment. Describe the product's protection needs and any primary inner pack separately. Evaluate the final materials and closure together if moisture exposure or leakage is a concern.
