Mailer Box (Tuck Top) FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
Can the tuck-top mailer ship without extra tape?
Treat the tuck as the opening mechanism and evaluate retention separately for your delivery route. Fill a sample, engage the closure and check accidental release during handling. A seal label, tape or outer shipper may need to be sampled with the intended presentation.

How much product clearance does a tuck-top mailer need?
Account for the front tuck entering the box and for any rolled or doubled walls on the chosen drawing. Sample the largest packed product, including tissue and cards, to check that the lid closes without forcing the tuck against the contents.
Technical references
How can we make the first opening easy to understand?
Position the opening cue where a customer naturally grips the front edge, keeping it clear of labels. Trial the assembled pack with someone unfamiliar with it; watch for pulling at the wrong side or tearing the front wall to find the tuck.

Will inside printing remain visible after the mailer is packed?
Map the product, insert and tissue positions against the open lid and inner walls before approving artwork. Fold a printed mockup and check the actual reveal. Folded flaps can cover attractive artwork that looks fully exposed on a flat dieline.
