Window Pouch FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
Will a clear window reduce light protection?
A window introduces a viewing area that must be considered in the complete barrier design. State the product sensitivity and expected retail exposure. Compare proposed structures and filled product trials before assuming the visible product will retain the same quality as in an opaque pack.
Technical references
How should we size and position the window?
Review it with the actual fill height, product settling and display angle. Keep the viewing area away from seals or severe folds where possible. Approve filled samples so the window shows the intended product rather than empty headspace or an unattractive accumulation of dust.
Technical references
Can the window use the same recycling claim as the rest of the pouch?
Ask for the complete layer structure and how the window is created. Include inks, barrier layers and closures in the assessment for your destination market. A paper-looking body or transparent area does not establish a compatible recycling route for the combined pack.

What should we check during storage trials?
Inspect both product appearance through the window and the window itself for haze, rubbing or distortion. Use the intended formulation and storage conditions, then review seals and laminate bonding. Visibility may reveal changes customers would not notice in a fully printed pouch.
