Stand Up Pouch (SUP Doypack) FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How do we choose the bottom gusset and fill size?
Send the product bulk density or filled volume as well as its weight. Trial the proposed pouch with the actual fill and headspace, checking base deployment and shelf stability. Nominal capacity alone cannot show how a light powder or irregular pieces will stand.

Which barrier structure will protect our product?
Describe the formulation, sensitivity to oxygen, moisture and light, and intended storage conditions. Request a documented film proposal and appropriate product trials. A stand-up shape does not establish shelf life; the material, seals and contents need evaluation as one package.
Technical references
Can it run on our premade-pouch filling line?
Supply the machine model, gripper zones, opening method and sealing-jaw layout. Include any zipper position and fill contamination concerns. Trial production-equivalent pouches for opening, filling and top sealing before approving dimensions that work only during manual sample filling.

What should we check after transport?
Inspect the filled pouch for base distortion, seam damage and loss of upright presentation as well as product condition. Agree a route-appropriate packed test and acceptance criteria. A visually stable shelf sample may still move or develop stress points inside a shipping case.
