Shaped Die Cut Pouch FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How far can we change the pouch outline?
Submit a vector outline together with the usable filling area, seal margin and intended opening feature. Review a physical prototype for handling and content access. Decorative narrow sections or sharp projections can complicate filling and packing, so shape approval needs more than an artwork rendering.

Can the custom shape reduce filling efficiency?
Provide the opening and gripping requirements of the filling equipment before finalizing the contour. Run samples through opening, filling and sealing, looking for poor support or inconsistent positioning. Preserve practical working areas around the mouth even when the visible outline is highly distinctive.

Where should codes and legal text sit on an unusual shape?
Reserve a sufficiently flat readable panel away from folds, narrow necks and seal contours. Check the filled mockup at its intended display angle. Verify barcodes on the finished pack so a distinctive silhouette does not force essential information onto a distorted surface.

How should shaped-pouch transit performance be evaluated?
Inspect projecting points, concave edges and seal transitions in a filled packed test. Agree damage and leak criteria using the actual contents and shipping arrangement. A standard rectangular pouch test should not automatically be assumed to cover a materially different contour.
