Vacuum Pouch FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
Will this vacuum pouch work on our sealer?
Identify chamber or external extraction equipment, seal bar dimensions and the required pouch surface structure. Send the model and normal packing sequence. Trial vacuum drawdown and sealing with your product before approving material that merely looks like the pouch you currently use.
Technical references
How can sharp products cause vacuum loss?
Drawdown can pull film tightly over corners, bones or projecting features. Provide samples with the most challenging geometry and inspect for punctures after handling and storage. Evaluate any protective pad as part of the full pack rather than compensating only by increasing sealing time.
Technical references
Does vacuum packaging establish a safe shelf life?
No packaging format alone establishes that outcome. Provide the product, process and storage conditions for appropriate specialist review and validation. Evaluate barrier, seal integrity and product quality together, and avoid assigning a shelf-life claim from the appearance of a tightly drawn pouch.

What should be recorded when approving the vacuum pack?
Record film construction, usable size, product geometry, sealing settings and the intended vacuum process. Define acceptable residual air, leaks and product deformation with the packing team. Inspect after realistic handling so a newly sealed sample is not the only reference.
