Spouted Pouch FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How do we choose the spout opening and cap?
Send the formulation, viscosity, particle size and intended pour or dispense action. Compare fitment samples for flow, drips and remaining product. Ask for the exact cap and spout specification so filling equipment and consumer-use trials address the same components.
Technical references
Should the spout be at the corner or top?
Evaluate the intended grip, pouring angle, display face and filling method together. Supply product volume and user examples, then trial both loading and dispensing on filled samples. The convenient position for the user must also fit the available filling and capping equipment.
Technical references
What can cause leaks around a welded fitment?
Review the interface between pouch film and spout as well as the cap closure. Trial the filled pouch under expected squeezing, handling and distribution conditions. Ask for inspection criteria covering the weld area and cap so a visually neat attachment is not the only acceptance check.

Can the same pouch hold several liquid formulations?
Each formulation needs compatibility and process review, especially when solvents, oils or aggressive ingredients differ. Provide ingredients or appropriate technical information, filling conditions and storage expectations. Approve the complete laminate, spout and cap with the actual contents rather than transferring suitability from another product.
