Standard Poly Mailer FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
When is a standard poly mailer suitable for an order?
Start with soft or already protected contents that do not depend on a rigid outer box. Send the packed item dimensions, weight and projecting features. Check loading, seam stress and contents movement in a filled sample before removing any existing protective packaging.

How should we size the bag around a folded garment?
Measure the garment in its shipping fold, including tags or inner packaging. Allow for thickness and closure overlap, then trial the largest folded item. Check that filling does not stretch the bag across corners or put tension directly on the adhesive flap.
Technical references
Does a self-seal flap make the parcel waterproof?
Do not treat a film body as proof of a watertight finished parcel. Closure alignment, wrinkles and seams need evaluation. Define expected exposure and test packed samples, especially where paperwork or moisture-sensitive contents sit near the opening or seam.
Technical references
What should we approve before changing film thickness?
Compare loading force, puncture behavior, seam integrity and closure performance with the same representative contents. Record the proposed film construction and gauge alongside the sample. A lighter bag should be accepted only after the complete parcel meets your handling and appearance criteria.
