Molded Pulp Inserts (Eco Friendly) FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
What shapes are practical for a molded pulp insert?
Provide drawings showing the product contact points, release direction and required nesting. Review a prototype for loading and removal rather than judging only a rendered cavity. Features that appear compact in a drawing may interfere with release, stacking or consistent placement at the packing station.
Will molded pulp support a heavy component in humid storage?
State the load, storage duration and humidity exposure so the material and geometry can be evaluated together. Test the filled pack after relevant conditioning, checking compression, contact points and movement. Do not assign a load rating from dry appearance or wall thickness alone.
Can the molded surface touch a delicate finish?
Treat visible contact areas as an approval issue. Supply the actual finish and inspect for scuffs, transferred fibers and pressure marks after packing and movement. If an interleaf is considered, include it in the trial because it changes fit and handling.

What evidence supports an environmental statement for the insert?
Request the fiber composition and any coatings or additives, then assess the complete insert in the intended collection system. Agree on exact claim wording and available evidence before printing it. A molded fiber appearance does not establish recycled percentage, compostability or local acceptance.
