Metallic Foil Labels FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How do we control which areas remain metallic?
Mark metallic, opaque and translucent areas in separate artwork layers. The reflective substrate contributes to the effect, so approve a physical printed sample under several lighting angles. Pay particular attention to skin tones, pale brand colors and small text against reflective backgrounds.

Can a metallic label carry a reliably scanned barcode?
Reserve a contrasting, nonreflective code panel and keep its quiet space free of decoration. Send the required symbol and dimensions for artwork review. Verify the finished label on the filled container with your scanner because a beautiful reflective proof can still be difficult to read.

Will foil-like appearance work on tight curves?
Specify whether the proposed face is metallized film, metallized paper or another construction. Request samples around the smallest container radius and inspect wrinkles and lifted corners. Metallic appearance alone says nothing about conformability or the adhesive needed for your particular pack.
What should we check before using metallic labels in a damp setting?
Provide condensation and cleaning exposure details, then review the face protection and adhesive as one construction. Check edge appearance, rubbing and adhesion after the planned exposure. Retain the approved material specification so a different metallic finish is not assumed to perform identically.
