Does a kraft appearance prove the label is recyclable or compostable?
No. Ask for the face paper, adhesive, inks and any coating to be identified. Evaluate the label together with its host package and destination recovery system. A brown surface alone cannot substantiate a disposal claim or a certified compostable construction.
How should pale colors and white graphics be approved?
Proof the design on the chosen kraft stock because its background contributes to the final result. Send brand color priorities and indicate which areas need opacity. Review fine reversed text and small symbols physically rather than expecting a white-paper proof to predict the appearance.

Is kraft a practical choice for a chilled bottle?
Specify condensation, refrigeration and application conditions before choosing it for a bottle. Ask for the proposed paper treatment and adhesive information. Test for discoloration, edge curl and loss of adhesion on chilled filled bottles; an attractive dry sample does not establish wet-use performance.

What should we specify for handmade or textured cartons?
Send the actual carton with its coating and surface texture. Identify label dimensions, application position and whether staff apply by hand. Check adhesion across the roughest areas and opening folds, then retain an approved pack sample as the reference for repeat orders.
