Square Jar FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
What should I check before choosing a square glass jar?
Review internal depth, mouth opening, corner profile, and usable fill with samples of your actual contents. Include removal from the internal corners in user trials. External dimensions and a broad front panel do not tell you how comfortably the consumer can access the product.
Can one label continue across the square jar's corners?
Have the converter develop a label from the selected jar's dimensions and corner radii. Inspect application for lifting and wrinkles, including after product contact. Compare separate face labels if uninterrupted wrapping makes small text difficult to read or fails the handling trial.

Will an existing round jar lid fit this square body?
Fit depends on the neck finish and sealing surfaces rather than the body shape. Compare complete drawings and assembled samples, including lid skirt clearance. Test closure application and leakage with the formula before retaining an existing cap on a new square glass mold.
How do I prevent square jars from marking one another?
Set divider clearances around the widest part of the jar and any projecting lid. Test the filled retail pack with the final decoration, then look for corner impacts and rubbed faces. Define cosmetic acceptance and breakage criteria separately in the packing review.
