Cosmetic Jar FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
What jar dimensions matter most for a cream or balm?
Specify working fill volume, internal depth, mouth opening, and the consumer's intended access method. Evaluate scoop or fingertip access using the final formula. Request both the jar and closure drawings so the wide-mouth appearance is supported by a workable sealing and opening arrangement.
Can the glass jar be approved without its liner?
Approve the liner with the cream or balm in the closed jar. Ask your lab to evaluate contact effects, leakage, odor, and opening after storage, including inverted samples where appropriate. The glass body and the closure facing have different roles in the finished package.

Should I add a protective disk under the cap?
Decide what the disk must do: presentation, reducing mess, or supporting a specific protection requirement. Check lifting tabs, fit, and formula contact with samples. A loose inner disk should not be represented as a hermetic or tamper-evident seal without evidence for that design.
How can printing be kept readable on a short cosmetic jar?
Obtain the jar's actual decoration template before laying out ingredients and legal text. Compare direct printing with a body label and a bottom label at full size. Approve the final appearance with the cap fitted so its skirt does not hide critical information.
