What equipment does water-activated paper tape need?
It needs controlled wetting before application, so review the proposed roll with a compatible water-activated tape dispenser. Trial the setup at your packing station and check that operators can apply and smooth the wetted strip consistently over the carton seam.

Should we choose reinforced or plain paper tape?
Base the decision on the carton construction, filled weight and stresses on its closure, then compare the proposed grades on actual packs. Reinforcement changes the tape construction; it does not remove the need to evaluate adhesive activation, coverage and the complete shipment.
