Wide Mouth Packer FAQ
Practical answers on choosing the structure, avoiding common problems, and confirming the right specification for your product.
How do I determine the correct packer size for capsules or powder?
Trial the actual count or powder weight in the selected bottle, including any scoop, desiccant, or other component your product team specifies. Check working headspace and consumer access. Capacity should follow the packed product rather than an assumed conversion from nominal bottle volume.
Does a wide mouth mean the packer is child-resistant?
No. If child resistance is required, select and evaluate a complete bottle-and-closure system with appropriate test evidence for the intended market and contents. A broad opening or push-and-turn-looking cap is not sufficient evidence. Request documentation for the exact assembled configuration.
Technical references
What should I review before choosing an induction seal?
Confirm the bottle resin, neck land, closure, liner construction, and sealing equipment with the relevant suppliers. Trial the actual filled pack and establish inspection criteria for the seal. A foil appearance or printed protection message does not itself demonstrate a sound applied seal.
How should moisture protection be assessed for a dry product?
Set the product's storage and shelf-life requirements with your technical team, then evaluate the chosen bottle, cap, liner, and any internal components together. Include repeated consumer opening where relevant. The resin name and wide-mouth format alone do not establish the required protection.
